About Fritz's Adventure
Your fun is about to get real at Fritz’s Adventure, because we’re real serious about fun.
At Fritz’s, you get to do “real” stuff: real urban climbing in Branson, real ziplining, and imagining fantastic adventures on real industrial/urban/construction elements. Kids and grown-ups get to do the things they’ve always been told not to, like climbing a water tower, scaling a brick wall, exploring inside a stack of shipping containers and so much more.
It’s discovery in motion. We do things we never thought we could, and help others do it too! Fritz’s Adventure delivers an exceptional experience for kids big and small. All because a construction dad asked his kids “What would you put in this building?”
Fritz’s is where the fun is real, and it’s really fun!
Do What You've Always Wanted to Do
Let’s face it: you’ve seen utility poles all your life. From going down the street to marching across the distant landscape, they tower above us with their lines and transformers and quiet purpose.
But those rungs on the sides look just sooooooo climbable, don’t they? Yeah, we’ve always thought so too!
That’s why our craftspeople, engineers, and adventurers decided to place not 1 but 2 massive 40-foot-tall utility poles for urban climbing in Branson in Fritz’s Adventure.
The Real Thing for a Real Challenge
Our utility poles weren’t created for an activity park and weren’t designed for play. They were decommissioned directly from servicing the electrical grid. That’s part of what makes them so fun! We’ve added rungs to help with climbing, but otherwise, these bad boys carried boo-koo current across cities. Today you can climb all the way to the top and actually touch the transformers! How many of your friends can say they’ve done that in a lifetime?
PS: We totally took out all the electricity. The only thing that might be hair-raising for you is the view four stories down.
A Pole by Any Other Name
For urban climbing in Branson, our poles are decommissioned utility poles. We all know them by different names: telephone poles, power poles, transmission poles, and more. Heck, going down an old country lane you may even see some telegraph poles still standing! These poles are used by utility companies to support public utilities and services.
Even if the power/cable/internet that connects to your house does so underground, the energy/media/internet that it delivers spends some time above ground zapping to your location via these kinds of poles.
Steel Is Our Deal
Our utility poles consist of steel, with built-in maintenance steps. You can just imagine the maintenance workers and welders who climbed to these kinds of heights, installing lines and transformers and microwave dishes and more. Their view is similar to what you’ll see but without the voltage! Your climb presents a safer challenge, but still provides the payoff of proving to yourself (and to those cheering you on) that you can do it!
Safety First Is Fun, Too
Like our other more rigorous challenges, our utility poles offer a perceived element of risk, presented in a strategically engineered and safe environment. You’ll climb up reinforced rebar ladder rungs which work as steps also. Adventurers wear a safety harness connected to industry-leading auto-belay equipment for protection. The hardest challenge will be who you wave to first from the top!
