About Fritz's Adventure

The Power of Play

We love watching families, friends, and colleagues bond through play. When groups go adventuring together, they uncover hidden strengths, fostering confidence and growth.

Report after report confirms that play is essential to the development of children. When you take the time to play with your children and let them play with imagination and activities, you’re doing the parent thing right.

That’s why we do what we do. The idea started when a contractor dad asked his kids to kill a building with their favorite activities. Then, he put his crew to work and created fun play-places out of leftover or unused real-world equipment.

It was fun for the parents, the families, and their friends! Suddenly Fritz’s Adventure became a goal: a place where everyone could play, grow, learn, and best of all—have a blast while they did it!

Feel the power of play. It’s a Fritz’s specialty!

Our Story

We'll Take the Trees, Please

Family play is important to us at Fritz’s Adventure! It’s our heart to serve families well and to provide opportunities for families to adventure together. After all, families that play together stay together! Fritz’s Forest, with its soft-but-sturdy artificial grass floor and kid-safe explorable features, provides the littlest of us their own adventures too.

What’s also amazing are the real forests that blanket the Ozark hills surrounding Fritz’s Adventure. Because we offer all-day tickets, you can have fun at Fritz’s, head to a local park or hiking trail, and then come back to finish the day at Fritz’s Adventure! What a way to spend the day making memories that will last a lifetime.

Hitting the Trail

Along with our interesting family activities in Branson, there are several nearby outdoor experiences your family may enjoy.

Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area

This walking trail is free and leads to some truly gorgeous sights. It’s a 140-acre nature park, with easily accessible trails, a waterfall, and picnic tables. Part of the trails require some dexterity, but it’s worth the effort for the bluff-side views overlooking Lake Taneycomo. It also offers a playground and plenty of kid-friendly hiking.

Side-benefit: Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area is right across W 76 Country Boulevard from Fritz’s Adventure!

Waterfall Hiking Trailhead

Located not far from Fritz’s on Roark Valley Road, Waterfall Hiking Trailhead provides an easy walking trail with delightful views. Plus, there’s Roark Creek with its limestone ledges and occasional waterfalls. The hike is shorter—just a mile long—perfect for little legs.

Tyke Tip: bring shoes that have a decent grip, and you don’t mind if they get a little damp.

Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area

This forested 1,534-acre nature preserve offers self-guided trails, and benches for enjoying the sights, smells, and sounds of the forest, plus—an observation tower you can climb for views that stretch for miles! The Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area is more of a hiking trail than walking, so some exertion will be necessary, depending on where you want to go.

Tyke Tip: Take some water with you if you plan on investing decent time. Also, there’s a small stream—so be ready to perhaps dip your feet to cool them off.

The Healing Powers of Forest Bathing

In Japan, it’s called “shinrin-yoku,” which translates to “forest bathing.” Basically, it’s immersing yourself in nature and enjoying the therapeutic results. As one of the interesting family activities in Branson, surrounding yourself with the natural beauty, smells, and sounds of a forest has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and even improve your autonomic and immune functions.

It also helps alleviate depression and improve mental health. So enjoy our playtime forest, and the real ones surrounding Fritz’s Adventure. Your little ones will love it. And guess what? So will you.
